submission problems so the final Purchase Index will be delayed. From the afternoon reports the model projects that the Purchase Index will be up $0.11 and the component on yesterday's kill will be somewhere between unchanged to up 0.30.

I am watching the declining 6-day moving average carcass weights. This may be an early clue relative to the kill rate going forward and it is NOT pointing to a high kill rate.
