will be 65.89 provided I didn't make a key-punch error. It turned out to not work to go long in to cash settlement. I had put them all in the bank except two and they were purchased lower than cash settlement.

The component on Friday's kill was down 0.14 to 65.83 and that was the remaining 50% of the cash settlement index.

The six-day moving average carcass jumped to 214.65#. That is -1.25# yr/yr. All carcass weights were up across the board but it was the non-packer hogs that really jumped +1.80#. That is a big jump for a six-day moving average carcass weight. I had been thinking that producers may be getting behind in their shipments because of the foul weather and it appears that has happened. With hogs now a little over-weight, packers are taking a little off their bids. Index hogs are still lighter at 212.85#.

Tomorrow I will be watching to see if I can scalp the JJJs from the short side and I have some long Q/V spreads I would like to purge from portfolio so that I can make a trip or two to the bank.
