10/30/15 was down -1.14 to 69.46. The ZZZs are now discount to the component by 11.56. The six-day moving average carcass weight moved up to 213.52# this morning. That is -2.14# yr/yr. The percentage of packer hogs coming to market has moved up to the 34% to 35% range. For a long time it was in the 32% range. Last year it appeared to me that packers were hit harder by the PED virus than non-packers and I thought they were responding by adding gilts. This may have been the case and now we are seeing them coming to market. Packer hogs are running about 3.5# heavier than non-packer hogs.

I'm now totally spread with no out-rights and and it appears that I am mostly backward from where I should be.
