I would hasten to say that there does not appear to be any shortage of hogs. By noon Friday packers had purchased 313K of hogs. That is nearly 100K more than we see at that hour. Nope, there is no shortage of hogs!

And there are a lot of hungry mouths in the world. But about a third of them won't eat pork meat.
