8/19/15 was up +0.21 to 79.20 putting the discount the VVVs are carrying to the component at -14.02. That is quite a discount but there is a lot of time left in the VVVs. One thing I am quite sure about and that we will see a lot of volatility in the VVVs.

The 6-day moving average carcass weight firmed to 209.28#. That's -3.57# yr/yr. Both packer and non-packer hogs were a bit heavier.

I'm surely not in sync with the hog market today as well as I was yesterday.
