Good afternoon DH, Here are some thoughts on hog futures from an analyst (since I am short I am looking for bear thoughts)!

No new cases of Bird flu in last 3 weeks.
The pigs on the ground portion of the H&P report was not bullish, but confirmed that record large production is coming down the pipe.
The powerful surge in the dollar is negative for meat export business.
Poultry production remains balls to the wall.
Seasonal tendencies suggest a top any day now.
Weekly hog slaughter is projected to exceed last year by 15%
Packer processing margins are black which tends to confirm plentiful supplies versus demand
And the Goldman roll starts tomorrow and continues for the next 5 sessions

The only thing that worries me is I am short several contracts and since the market likes to punish me they may go up tomorrow!

I do appreciate your forum. I will try and participate a little more in the future, I have had a lot going on in my life lately.
