The CME component on the kill for - - -

6/30/15 was down -0.07 to 77.12. The surge in the NNNs this morning has them trading premium to the component by +0.35. That's not much in a volatile hog market and can easily be closed from either side in the split second. My bias is that we are getting clsoe to the index low until the QQQs expire. The the fall kill-rush starts and down goes the index.

The six-day moving average carcass weight dipped again this morning to 211/31#. The is -2.41# year/year but +6.56# over 2013. The American hog producers are doing a good job providing consumers with ample amounts of pork meat at an affordable price.

Ka! Ching!! Got another Q/V spread ferried across the pond and enjoyed a nice profit on that one. My boat is still riding plenty low in the water but fears of being swamped have now passed and am ready to take on a bigger load if the Q/V dips again.

Best wishes,
