Packers have 1.96 million hogs scheduled. That is a fairly weak number and usually runs over 2.0 million. That's 9K below the same date last week and 56K below the same date last year. This scheduled number is high enough to have me thinking that producers are fairly motivated sellers. There is the possibility that if producers become motivated sellers now and cause the carcass weights to dip, a tight supply could show up down the road.
