I just received this from my broker and am sharing it
What to Expect?
I’m waiting for more information on the USDA program allowing packers to speed up the chain speed for up to 12 months. I’m wondering how soon this may kick in. If it’s in place by Dec 1, and butcher numbers start dropping off, we should see a bottom develop in the cash hog market. It’s been declining almost daily since late June, losing over $70/cwt. The USDA is projecting exports to roar next year. Exports are record high this year despite the massive slow down from China in the second half of the year. Globally, there will be far less pork produced by mid-year 2022. I’m bullish.
