Cash is looking sloppy. At least that’s what were being told by the greedy packers. Nice correction early today in the Dec/Feb spread…buy it. My sources report that hams are in good shape, bellies are expected to trade soft to lower but when they turn, look out. Loins remain sluggish but butts are expected to attract renewed demand after a their sharp break in prices.
I remain bullish. If you’re looking for a position in hogs, strongly recommend snapping up some Dec 74 calls at 55 points. This is only $220 per call. Dec hog options expire Dec 14th, or 42 DTE. The latest index stands at 7348. For a very limited risk, this play has a very high chance of turning profitable in my opinion.
