6/27/19 was down -1.10 and the model projects the component on yesterday's kill will be down between -0.55 and -0.85. Packers are going to work to fix their margin problem. The NNNs settled discount to the component by -2.92. That may not be enough and the falling index may push the NNNs down further.

With their lower bids, packers were able to purchase 91.5% of the moving average daily purchases of total hogs and 94.9% on the index hogs.
