moved up to 212.36# and packer hogs and non-packer hogs moved up the same amount. That is an increase of 8.53# yr/yr.
Packers are still running their hogs to market at the 34.1% level compared to the usual 32.5%. I continue to think that they are choosing to sell their hogs ahead of the non-packer hogs because they know supply is going to increase enough to drop the index but it didn't happen yesterday.
The VVVs are now at a discount of 2.52 to yesterday's component. That is a mighty big swing from the huge premium we had earlier this summer.
