A friend dropped by to see me this morning and it interrupted my morning routine and I didn't get the final Purchase Index calculated before the opening. I'm telling myself that if I had, I would have gone short and taken advantage of this sell off.

And I quote a friend of mine who quotes his grandmother as having said, "If our foresight were as good as our hindsight, we'd be a damn site better off!"

Spread trades have gone well today. Have been piling them on and off my boat at a more than average rate this morning. It is especially the Q/V spreads that have active.
