1-25-16 was only up 0.44 to 59.03!

My model really missed on that on and it caused me to by an extra pair of long GGGs. It doesn't worry me because the buying appetite of the packers seems to be growing stronger and the 6-day moving average carcass weight is going down, especially on the Index hogs. When cold weather hits it is not uncommon for weight gains to slow. And sometimes producers don't like to load out hogs in foul weather.

The model says the Index is going to head higher with sufficient gusto to push the GGGs up a little at cash settlement. I don't think I will argue with the model this time.
