Yesterday I was frustrated with the suckers Feb hogs have been throwing at me, so I decided to tear into the April chart since I hadn't looked at it for several days. I'm running out of time for trading Feb anyway and I have a number of producers that I've been pushing to be thinking about hedges for their April production. It didn't take me long to see the potential pop higher building on the April chart. A month ago I was telling producers to ignore potential hedges for Feb hogs but get serious about April production at the 70-72 area.

April has something other than suckers growing in that fish pond so I threw my lines out @ 68.00 this morning and was rewarded for my last minute choice to go out to the next month. I didn't even bother to set a first deposit order will go with the 2nd @ 69.40 for my first deposit but I'll try to be stubborn for the 2nd @ 70.00. As always, damage control decides how long that stubborn streak lasts.
